Event details reminder:
Where: 1st Doncaster East Scout Hall, Muriel Green Drive, Doncaster (located behind the gym)
When: Friday 14th of February (Valentine’s Day)
Time: 7pm for a 7:30pm start
BYO: Food, drinks and heaps of coins!

Round 11
For the eleventh round of shield, Doncaster was at our home track, but with wet weather threatening, the program was abandoned towards the end of the day. Unfortunately, this meant that Eaglehawk and Mornington finished ahead, so we are only just holding on to second place and could miss the finals without a strong turn-up this Saturday at Box Hill and Aberfeldie.
The Men’s 40+ team had another big win, as did the Under 16 and Under 14. The Men’s Open and women’s under 14 finished second.
The leader board for division 2 now stands:
- Nunawading 101
- Doncaster 95
- Eaglehawk 92
- Mornington 92
Declan Carman was our top competitor with 524 for the M20 discus with Owen Rice 513 points for the M16 discus throw. Mariah Pezos and Kevin Rassool weren’t far behind.
Athletes to top the state in their Division 2 groups included Kevin Rassool (MOP 200 metres), Will McCombie (M60 300 hurdles), John Curry (M50 3000 Steeplechase), Lachlan Parrott (M18 Pole Vault) and Declan Carman (M20 Discus Throw). Athletes to top the state in their age groups were Kevin Rassool (MOP 200 metres), Declan Carman (M20 Discus), Owen Rice (M16 Discus Throw), Lachlan Marasco (M14 800 metres), Brodie Mierisch (M14 Discus Throw), Will McCombie (300 metres hurdles), Nicole Reynolds (FOP 400 metres hurdles), Jessica Ng (F20 800 metres) and Mariah Pezos (F14 Discus Throw).
Melbourne Track Classic
We wish the best of luck to the following athletes who will be competing in tomorrow night’s Track Classic at Lakeside Stadium starting at 5pm:
