Round 3 – 27/11/2021
In spite of the extra distance, and the miler’s event on Thursday, both 40+ teams performed better this week. It was good to see injured Wendy Smith throwing the shot put.
Relays
The Victorian Relay Championships will be held on Australia Day, January 26, and we are looking to entering a few teams. We did very well last year, and want to continue our medal winning streak. Please let Campbell know if you will be available, so he can select teams. Relays will be W40, M40 & M50: 4×400, 4×100 & distance medley (1200, 400, 800, 1600) There will be no sprint medley or 4 x 1500m due to compressed season.
Those to top the lists in Zone A include:
Paul Mierisch was our top scoring athlete with 1125 ahead of Darryl Kilmartin on 1031 and then Campbell McLennan on 1009. Graham Ford and Kim Peak also scored in the 900s.
