Registration and entry fees
If you have not yet renewed your registration, please do so asap! Athletes have two options for entry fees the season.
Athletes who elect to purchase a base membership (DAC fee and AV fee = $270 for Open/40+ or $215 for Juniors) will need to pay an entry fee for each round of AVSL they wish to compete in (approximately $15).
Athletes can elect to purchase the AVSL Package deal which is an extra $140 for Open/40+ athletes or $115 for Juniors. This optional package covers your entry fee for all rounds of AVSL and the AVSL Final. Athletes who have already registered for the season are also able to purchase this package.
Rule changes:
Some minor changes have been made to AVSL rules from last season
- Athletes are required to participate in a minimum of three rounds to be eligible for the AVSL final
- Members who are not registered or are a non-competing member are allowed only one trial entry for the whole season
- The top four clubs from Premier Division will advance to the final, the bottom two placed clubs will be automatically relegated
However, some key rules remain unchanged
- Due to contact tracing requirements, on the day entries won’t be allowed
- Athletes’ best scores from three events will count towards the age group and club points. Athletes who have competed in three events can also compete in a relay which will also count towards their score.
- 40+ and Para athletes competing in sprint and hurdles events have the option to not use starting blocks. All other athletes are required to use starting blocks in sprint and hurdles events.
Uniform
If you require uniform, please email our uniform co-ordinator (uniforms@doncasterac.org.au) to arrange a time to try on and purchase uniform. Preferred payment is through direct debit.
Junior athletes who are dual members of Doncaster Little Athletic Club and Doncaster Athletic Club are allowed to compete in the DLAC centre singlet and shorts or black shorts/tights. Major competitions such as Victorian Relay Championships or Victorian T&F Championships require dual members to wear green DAC shorts/tights, DLAC singlets are still permitted.
If you need any assistance with registration, pre-entry, or have any questions about AVSL, please contact our registrar David Mitchell (registrar@doncasterac.org.au or 0456366046).
