Doncaster Newsletter
Round 6 – 3/12/2022
Summer has arrived! It certainly did at Doncaster with the temperature hovering around thirty degrees. With competition at our local track, numbers were up and we finished ahead of Box Hill, who employed their Powerplay.
No age group topped the state this week, but the women’s under 20 were second and others weren’t far behind. It was a team effort. Congratulations to Oscar O’Connor and Will Katic on breaking two minutes in the 800 metres for the first time.
A big welcome to the following athletes who have competed for the first time this season:
This was the first week for Maeve Gill, Harry Maddocks, and Sean Peters.
Second week for Zoe Cowlishaw, Connor Daniels, and Jacob Tymms.
Third week for Declan Brown-Porteous and Alanna Turner.
Fourth week for Alexander Rowlands.
And lastly Our President Nathan Down competed this weekend in AVSL for the first time since March 2020 – welcome back to summer comp Pres! (He has been competing in Cross Country)
All results below after a few community announcements !

When: Saturday 24th of December (Christmas Eve)
Where: Schramms Reserve, JJ Tully Drive, Doncaster (the football ovals behind the Manningham City Council chambers on Doncaster Road)
